I am currently using courier-imap but the distribution i installed doesn't seem to have the maildrop pakage and so i installed the pakage my self from the tar.bz2 creating the rpm and from the sources but the problem i have is that the program is no quering the ldap service eventhougth i installed the program with ldap support can any one help me or give advice on here to look for a way of installing the program or how to get a corier with the maildrop and ldap support.

Perhaps you haven't compiled in LDAP support. In the source directory there are very good INSTALL directions; you should also do './configure --help|(less|more)'.
