Hi all,

Firts, I apologize for my bad english. Second, my problem: I'm newbie in Mysql compilation and I've few questions. I've tried, with succes I think, to get Mysql work under Win XP from sources. Here are the results:

§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ Compilations Mode: file with * are only in the concerned mode.

Release / max mode:

isamchk.exe libmySQL.dll libmysqld.dll myisamchk.exe myisamlog.exe mysql.exe mysqladmin.exe mysqlbinlog.exe mysqlcheck.exe mysqld-max.exe * mysqld-max-nt.exe * mysqld-nt.exe * mysqld-opt.exe * mysqldump.exe mysqlimport.exe MySqlManager.exe mysqlshow.exe mysqlshutdown.exe mysqlwatch.exe * pack_isam.exe * perror.exe * replace.exe

Debug mode:

isamchk.exe libmySQL.dll libmysqld.dll myisamchk.exe myisamlog.exe mysql.exe mysqladmin.exe mysqlbinlog.exe mysqlcheck.exe mysqld.exe * mysqldump.exe mysqlimport.exe MySqlManager.exe mysqlshow.exe mysqlshutdown.exe pack_isam.exe replace.exe

missing:

comp-err.exe cygwinb19.dll (quite normal by the way) my_print_defaults.exe myisampack.exe mysqlc.exe winmysqladmin.cnt winmysqladmin.exe winmysqladmin.hlp §§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§

As you can see some files are compiled only in one mode, some are missing. My question is quite simple: witch are the differences between these mode (debud an release or max) and why don't I get all files in each mode ? Thank's for response.
