That's simple: modules/DBD/mysql/... :-) This matches the CPAN structure. In other words, if users know the module, they know the structure. Besides, it clears up responsibility.

In other words, a wiki's a great idea. I'd even be willing to host it on my personal box. However, I'd still like to hear some ideas on how it should be structured before embarking on such a project.

That's a nice offer. I still wonder, whether there isn't a central ressource on perl.org, or whether it might be created. I'll ask some people.
