You might try reseating the sup card(s).

1. %C6KERRDETECT-4-SWBUSSTALL: The switching bus is stalled for more than [dec] seconds

The switching bus is stalled and data traffic is stopped. This condition can indicate that a line card is not properly seated or that card hardware has failed on the switching bus.

Recommended Action: If this message recurs, copy the message exactly as it appears on the console or in the system log. I'm booting up a brand new 6509 and getting the following errors:

Can anyone enlighten me as to the cause of this? All that's in this 6509 chassis is a Sup2/MSFC2 card .. no line cards yet...

This software version is running in other switches just fine with exactly the same hardware (plus line cards of course)...
