You might try reseating the sup card(s).

1. %C6KERRDETECT-4-SWBUSSTALL: The switching bus is stalled for more than [dec] seconds

The switching bus is stalled and data traffic is stopped. This condition can indicate that a line card is not properly seated or that card hardware has failed on the switching bus.

Unrelated to my last post... seems I'm not having a great 6509 day today :)

I'm booting up a brand new 6509 and getting the following errors:

IOS (tm) c6s2p2_sp Software (c6s2p2_sp-PK9SV-M), Version 12.2(18)SXD2, RELEASE S OFTWARE (fc1) Technical Support: http://www.cisco.com/techsupport Copyright (c) 1986-2004 by cisco Systems, Inc. Autoboot executing command: "boot disk0:c6k222-pk9sv-mz.122-18.SXD2.bin"

Can anyone enlighten me as to the cause of this? All that's in this 6509 chassis is a Sup2/MSFC2 card .. no line cards yet...

This software version is running in other switches just fine with exactly the same hardware (plus line cards of course)...

Thanks for your help..

Paul
