Joe,
I managed (for two years) double sites Perforce based system, of 100 users.
The developers were located in both sites, connected with 1MB peer-to-peer line - and the remote site (this one that the server was NOT located there) users worked in the same performance (according to their feeling, in fact it was reduced by 10%) without any problem.
Note : This was one of the main reasons to choose Perforce - I did , at the same time, evaluation to ClearCase and Perforce - and Clearcase (with its features "multisite" and "snapshot" tools) failed - it has not commercial performance.
* My sites were on the same clock - I had not time synchornization problems. I think you must plan it !

Hello,
I am evaluating Perforce to support the development that consisting of multiple groups from various locations (East and west coast of US, Europe, etc...) and about approximately up to 200 developers. I would like to know if any of you have experience implementing Perforce of your site that support a similiar configuration. Any input (pros and cons) are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
