OK. But yes, you do want to install altq. I did try it on a back to back configuration and it seemed to work just fine at least on on a single PVC which I tried.

ok. thanks for the feedback. a non-ALTQ dependent config procedure would have been nice since i don't have any other reason to use ALTQ immediately. but yes, i'll install ALTQ and see how it goes. thanks.
