I have hundreds of users with the same disability ;-)

if you search the archives you will find a patch I posted for maildrop, which allows it to autocreate missing subfolders.

It isn't a part of mainstream code, but has worked for me for years... next time I upgrade I'll publish the latest version if I remember (or anyone asks).
