When editing a terrain (which is usually grouped by default in SU) you
have to "open" the group. Make sure that when finished with editing
(stamping) it you don't place your house model within the terrain
group but close it firts and place your house outside its context.

ok, i used "hide", but that didnt work either, as soon as i select the
surface to mesh the second house into the terrain, the program shuts
down. do you think i need to make each instance of the house unique,
since i am using the same house in 3 locations?
