I have a near complete implementation of the J2EE Client Provisioning spec (JSR-124) -http://jvending.sf.net;but after three years of on and off work, I shutJVendingdown in August due to lack of community involvement. I recently reopened theJVendingproject because I think that the general Android community may find the project interesting, as there is a complete stocking API that could be leveraged for stocking of general content, including android content. It's also easy to plug in custom adapters for provisioning to the device, there is already a lucene based indexing for search of content.

What I am looking for is for people to play around with it, see if they find it interesting, post to the forums and submit patches for missing functionality. After consistently good patches, I would consider adding that person as developer to the project.

A big piece of missing functionality is a good admin and user interface. So I would be particularly interested in any work with JSF, Struts2. If you download and look at the JSR-124 spec (link below), you'll have a good idea of what you would be programming against. In the 1.3.x versions ofJVending, I had P2P content distribution support and would be interested in adding this back in for the current 2.x version. Provided enough community interest, I will work on the adapter for provisioning to the device and also provide a community hosted site. So there is a lot to do.
