Unless you're trying for something distinctive and original, why not look at some of the icon sets already available, and licensed appropriately? There's lots of stuff in the GNOME or KDE icon sets that would be appropriate:

*shrug* No reason really.

Just 'cause it took me a little over an hour to do those 7 icons. -- Whereas it could easily take me 5-10 hours to search through all the icons available from different places... if I wanted to find ones that would scale properly to our somewhat odd 28x20 size, and include appropriate graphics for the less "desktop applicable" (and therefore less often included) concepts like "Full Headers" and "Reply All". =)

Go ahead and search for some and put a set together. No harm in having multiple sets for people to choose from, is there? (If you spend the time to put one together, I'm sure it'll be better than mine. But that's fine with me. :) Maybe Sam would even let us store a few alternative icon archives on courier-mta.org (on a new page?) for people to download as drop-in replacement sets. It'd be simple enough to do that, what with having just the one webmail icons folder after all.
