For my company I'm trying to use shared folders in our mailer system. The idea is that anyone has read/write/remove access to the shared folders. Is this possible with Courier IMAP, or with IMAP at all for that matter? In the docs I read that only the owner of a message can kill it. Can't I change that somehow?

I'm sorry if you mentioned this already, but what MTA and platform are you running?

I implemented Courier IMAP with qmail and wrote a small patch to qmail-local that changes the group privileges for messages delivered directly into shared folders. The patch and instructions can be found here: http://www.atc.no/tech/?id=72 If you're not using qmail then perhaps a similar fix to your particular MTA is possible?

Yours,
