Hi.
Thanks to those who gave replies as to my mysql woes for maildrop
functionality w/ postfix+courier. That all seems to work now.
If I use maildrop as root, I see delivery!
However, last "dumb" question. For purposes of the maildrop transport in
master.cf, how do I set up a proper user so that it can change uid/gid?
Currently if I try to set user=root, this causes a barf by postfix.
However, no other user I pick seems to work since the ability to change
uid/gid does not work.
See current master.cf line:
maildrop unix - n n - - pipe
flags=R user=mail argv=/usr/bin/maildrop -V9 -d ${user}
The user "mail" cannot itself change uid/gid which is necessary in
maildrop for final delivery (similar to virtual).
How can I set up a user for this purpose? I have tried several
approaches, but it does not work.
Sunil
p.s. I also try to users from the command line, and again run into
problems with this...
