Nobody uses that format to report problems. Spammers use it to sneak stuff into your mailserver. You're not missing out on anything. Its thorough and respectable for them to inform you of it, but in reality, you're better off as you already are.

Actually, this is not true. Block lists like dsbl.org use this format to send unblock confirmations to your postmaster. If you cannot accept this mail format, you WILL NOT be removed from the list.

I sent a very grubby hack to Sam mid-last year fixing this, but it never got into the disto :(
