Hi all,
I am having a whole lot of problems trying to convince Courier-IMAP to authenticate against an LDAP server.
When I try to log in, the login fails, and the following is logged (and nothing else):
Jul 17 11:43:43 chandler imapd-ssl: LOGIN FAILED, ip=[::ffff:217.135.2.36]
No reason for the failure is given anywhere by Courier-IMAP (user not found/password wrong/LDAP server not reachable/mailmessagestore not found/etc).
Is there a way of increasing the debug information to a useful level? I am using courier-imap-1.3.8.2-1.7.1 (RPM).
Looking at the LDAP log file, I can see courier-imap issue a query for that particular user based on the userid. Based on the response to this query, the login fails. Running this query manually with ldapsearch binding as the same user as the courier-imap server shows the query is successful and returns the correct user.
I am truly stuck at this point - anyone have any ideas?
