Ok. Actually, it turns out I can create a gmail filter on to:
nginx-nofU2znGi42HXe+LvDL...@public.gmane.org that puts a label on matching
messages. Since the
label shows up in small type in the mail browse window, it actually
works better than a prefix on the subject line. So I withdraw my
suggestion. ;)

I use majorodomo and it clobberes MIME-encoded Subject when adds prefix
