It's been a while since I posted. Not that this will help, but I too and noticing a large performance. Reggie is there something we can do to help facilitate an improvement. Rather, what info can we provide you to be more helpful then saying 'It's slow.'

I've changed from 4.0.x to 4.1.x serve version and sinse them i've noticed a
big slowdown in the "thing". Looking at the logs i see everytime a connection ia made something like "show variables", could if be because of this? I think someone some time ago already wrote something about this...refering the same case.
