Java User Group Leaders and Java Champions:

This evening I learned details on Oracle's first-ever music festival happening at JavaOne and OpenWorld this year. From Sept. 30th through Oct. 4th, several venues throughout San Francisco will host a variety of talent ranging in music flavors/styles from 7:00pm to 1:00am.

From named acts, emerging/local bands, and DJs, the outdoor venues near the JavaOne Zone and Moscone Center (including 111 Minna, DNA, Mezzanine, Roe, Ruby Skye, Slim's, the Taylor Street Café, Temple, Union Square, and Yerba Buena Gardens) will showcase acts spanning from reggae to rock, punk to ska, R&B to country, indie to honky-tonk. I'm sure after a full day of sessions and networking, you'll all be primed for some late-night relaxation and rocking out at one or more of these sets. Just know that seating at designated venues is on a first-come/first-serve basis.
