I was involved in developing native InfiniBand support for MySQL Cluster for Chemnitz University of Technology (http://www.tu-chemnitz.de/informatik/RA/ (sorry, no english version)).

First benchmark results looked very promising, but when I left the project it was not really production-ready.

Can't really remember how IPoIB compared to SCI, but if you're interested, I might try to find the numbers.

the source for the IB Transporter would be really interesting and could be good for getting into the main source tree. I hope people are open to this (can you get us in contact with the right people).

I couldn't see a download on the site though.... url?
