Odd. I saw it today on a couple from Monty (myISAM vs ISAM, MYSQL error? (fwd)) from Monty, another couple from Sinise (Novice Question, DISTINCT), and another bunch from Jani (Error: Too many connections, Newbie perl script error, perl upgrade...). As far as I can tell, it's not my email client, when I go look at the headers, the Re:'s aren't there (they aren't there in the listquest archives, either).

It's not that it pisses me off or anything - it's just that I keep missing things that I might have wanted to see! [I can't afford to read _everything_ that comes across this list (Scott says, as he uselessly contributes to other people's email backlog).] I figured since the majority of these Re-less emails seem to be coming from TCX, perhaps it was something to do with a system they have there for responding to this list, which may be easy to fix in a central location.

Back to your regularily scheduled program, scott

I notice that a number of TCX people tend not to use "Re: " on their subjects lines in responses. Any reason why not? I'm not bitching, mind you, it's just that I often tend to delete messages which aren't in response to other messages, on the theory that the response is generally the more interesting thing.

Hmm, i see Re: on every reply from the TCX team.

Fix: Read all your mail
