Sam Varshavchik writes (2/19/2005 10:40 AM):

If those messages are coming from specific IP addresses only, use the smtpaccess file to set the BOFHBADMIME variable, as described in the courier man page.

I needed to wait until today for the relevant lists to send emails again. The issue is now successfully resolved.

I'd like to thank Sam and everyone else who has helped me through (just a few) installation hurdles with Courier. As you might have guessed, I'm not a Unix sysadmin. Courier is an excellent package. We are happy with the functionality and the performance. The configuration requirements may be a bit steep, but the defaults are generally good and the flexibility is worth it. The rpmbuild process worked well and simplifies the whole process considerably.

Thanks to all the developers for an excellent package, and to this community for its help,

Chuck
