I can help with italian translation and also for some {t} {/t} work, even if I never used gettext so I may need some explanation on what must be done. However I know smarty rather well (I'm not a full time php programmer). What about strings inside {literal}{/literal} wrappers like javascript functions?

Hi Ralf,

For longer strings we should use named placeholders, but unfortunately this doesn't seem to be handled by gettext so we will have to write something on our own. For short strings I still want to use gettext though.

So, can I count you in to help with wrapping the strings in {t}{/t}

Best Regards,
