I am using the latest version of gentoo on an amd64 (the amd 6400) machine. I have a 2.6.12 kernel. I am using glibc version 2.3.5

When I try to "emerge" mysql 4.1.14 I don't see any options for sql-max. I can't find sql-max mentioned anywhere in the distribution. I have searched both with etcat and emerge.

I downloaded the tar ball of the source code. I can't find the file BUILD/compile-amd64-max

How am I supposed to compile sql-max from source? Is there some way I can tell emerge to install sql-max?
