Dear Sir: Here I have some questions about mysql. Referring to infolist.txt,I change my-example.cnf to my.cnf,and modify
basedir.Then MySQL server runs well.

But when I delete my.cnf (that is there is no my.cnf in c:\mysql directory),
and then run MySQL,it also runs well.

Then what the function of the file my.cnf is?
