Are you logging in as the same user on XP and linux? Docs is being rolled out slowly to users and I believe they are doing it based on username. If you use the same username across machines, you should get the offer on all machines.

Any ideas on how to make Gears work on my Linux machine? Does Docs identify my browser differently because it is running Linux? Reader works great on my Linux box...I only wish I could get Docs working...
