I am attempting to integrate maildrop into my existing mail server.
It has been running smoothly for about a year using
Postfix/Courier-IMAP using MySQL as a lookup for a virtual users
table. I started this maildrop project by reading the notes from
Robin Whittle at:
http://www.firstpr.com.au/web-mail/RH90-Postfix-Courier-Maildrop-IMAP/
then realized he wasn't using virtual users on multiple domains, and
found my way to Martin Petersen's page at:
http://www.marlow.dk/tech/postfix.php
I've gotten to the point where I test maildrop for mysql support, and
find that it doesn't have it. I've looked around the maildrop sites,
searched this list, read the readme files, but I cannot find
references on how to compile this in. As stated above, I do in fact
have a fully functional MySQL db running.
How to do it?
Well Rob, I'm currently having almost the same problem as you.
Virtual user-support is something I'm looking for, too, at the
moment. At present I'm using vmailmgr instead of maildrop - but
because I would like to use the extended features (automatical script-
based mail-sorting etc.) of maildrop I guess I'll need to move
somehow. Hmm, if you find anything out please let us know.
