Sam,

I'm not seeing the behaviour you described, and I think it's because of a poor explanation on my part.

If I have : us@virtualdomain.com: real@realdomain.com

where real@realdomain.com is not defined anywhere on MY box (it's another accounn, yahoo, or mindspring, etc), it doesn't appear to be affected by the maildroprc file.

All incoming mail is affected by the maildroprc, but all outgoing, and all alaised mail doesn't appear to be. Should it be?

Thanks Rick

I have a virtual domain working with userdb. I'm currently setting aliases for that domain in the /etc/courier/aliases/system file such as: us@virtualdomain.com: real@realdomain.com

I'm not creating an account for user, because I didn''t think I'd need to (as simply an alias to an email address) and that works just fine. But it doesn't appear to hit the filters in maildroprc.

Is there a way to filter messages that are simply alaised, or am I going to have to create actual (virtual) accounts for each of those email addresses I want to alias, and then create .courier files in $Home/Maildir with || dotforward and then create a .forward file, to be able to get those messages to filter?
