Here here. I have one password that I use for most of everything in my life (as do many of us). It just makes things simpler, and I don't have to write it down to remember it. BUT, the Apple Developer site totally kills that concept by making me change it all the time. And I have to wait a year before I can go back to the original (normal) password. Now I'm back to having to remember (write down) the goofy altered version of my normal password I'm using at any given time.

Not secure. Not smart. Not a crowd pleaser.

Having been at different levels over the last four years I have to agree. In addition, this changing of the password almost every time I login means I have to write down my password, rather than try to remember which of the 8 versions I used.

Few things are more insecure than a written down password.

Which, as an online member, I don't have access to even after I jump through the hoops. So why do I have to jump through them?

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for the free developer tools, it's just that password protection for a free service (and one that I only visit every two or three months) is pointless and irritating. I mean, I ended up creating a new account (but still haven't succeeded in downloading the December devtools). How does that benefit anyone, even Apple, who now has two records for the same person?
