This is definitely a mail server error, not an Eventum error. He will need to add the IP of your eventum server to the list of those that can send email to outside domains. Or you can enable authentication in Eventum (though I seem to remember you having problems with that).
As a side note, I think your new user has a typo in her domain name, which might be why you are recieving the error (sending to an outside domain)

I am running eventum on a Linux box and sending mail to an Exchange 2003 box. I
know my supervisor changed some settings on the Exchange box, but I have no idea
what he did and I do not know how to fix it.
