Visual SourceSafe - Nobody uses it - not even most Microsoft departments.

Aah, if only this were really true. Unfortunately so many people get sucked into the "Gee, it comes free with <insert MS product here>, so why not?" that they *do* use it, much to their future chagrin. You're quite right about the MS departments, though -- most of them use something even more archaic and home-grown, if you can believe it.

VC++ is also not used by most MS teams -- it's considered a "toy", and not capable of building large projects. (and they're right. :-) They use "windbg" to debug, and an nmake variant to do builds.

Resists ChangeSetManagement. Slow & unstable

"Resists" is putting it kindly, though. More like "Diametrically Opposed To".
