Absolutely why that was done. It's exploded to solve a lot of corner case issues we never thought of so that's been nice.

As an example, we have discovered a nice use for the http probe. We often use it to interface as a client to a web application designed to be a dynamic ip tracker. We have also integrated the web app into DNS.
