My system is a Gentoo Linux, I have courier-0.48.1 installed (a Gentoo package). When I run webadmin and select the 'Webmail' link, it takes me to 47webmail. There, if I un-select the 'Allow From: header to be set ...' and save, it will create an empty file 'nochangingfrom' in /etc/courier (sysconfdir is /etc/courier, libexecdir is /usr/lib/courier, datadir is /usr/share/courier).

In /etc/courier/authlib/authdaemonrc I have set: authmodulelist="authuserdb" ## only thing set, it is working DEFAULTOPTIONS="wbnochangingfrom=1" ## don't think it is working

authtest and authenumerate will show the users info, except the gecos field. Can't seem to find out if anything will show if the wbnochangingfrom is working... (where would a user put this to over-ride the global like the INSTALL doc talks about?)

I noticed that courier-authlib-0.53 is installed too. I'm wondering if the package maintainer has placed a dependancy on this package (separated it out) so other apps could use it too. Is this a problem? I mean the version of it? I can't tell what version the actual executable is.

Also, I can't tell what version sqwebmail is from the executable, is there a way?

-Craig
