Hi, I installed courier (imap, sendmail, esmtp) on redhat 7.1. When I send from localhost to localhost it is fine, but when I try so send from somewhere else on the internet to the actual ip address of the machine, I get the error that smtp connection could not be establish (4.4.1). Also, when I tried to telnet to smtp port, the connection was refused.

Sounds like it is only listening on the localhost

What does your ADDRESS line look like in the config file? make sure it is ADDRESS=0 and not ADDRESS=127.0.0.1

Thank you for help in advance

I hope that helps
